Breathe, my child.
Breathe in my love and exhale the darkness.
Your body aches because your husband left you alone – with a long to-do list.
But, dear one, you know this: he never wanted to leave you. He wanted to protect and provide for you.
Those things you do in his name rise like blossoms on his beloved lilac bushes, expressions of his love for you.
Draw in my love. Breathe out unforgiveness.
Breathe in life. Exhale the gloom.
Breathe in my grace and mercy. Release resentment.
Breathe in my new life.

For the Spirit of God has made me,
and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.
